The Indian Institute of Mass Communication ( IIMC ), Delhi was inaugurated by the then Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting in 1965. One year later, in 1966, the administration of the Institute was transferred to the IIMC Society, registered under the Societies Registration Act (XXI) of 1860.
