Namrata Joshi has joined the Mumbai edition of The Hindu. She was one of the most senior journalists in Outlook, working at the publication for the past 16 years..
Announcing her new move, she tweeted,“And it marks my (informal) debut too. On another platform @TheHindu … Formal induction to follow soon…”
Malini Parthasarathy, Editor also tweeted about her new role. She said, “Welcoming to our team, @Namrata_Joshi , seasoned writer on cinema who will give our Mumbai edition edge & zest!.”
Amit Baruah, National Editor, The Hindu also chose the social networking site to welcome Joshi. He said, “A change in outlook for @Namrata_Joshi and a WARM welcome to @the_hindu !! @MaliniP Look forward to your writings…”Namrata Joshi is a senior film critic. She won the National Award for best film critic in 2004.
She is an alumnus of Delhi University, Film and Television Institute of India and Times Centre for Media Studies.
